Many vegetable oils have been artificially saturated or hydrogenated .
Trans fat or Phantom fat is created during the process called partial hydrogenation.
Although some of the foods made by the vegetable oils claim to be low in calories,fat or cholesterol , the numbers are not listed for trans fat which is even worse than cholesterol.
Trans fat are as powerful as saturated fat in promoting disease .
This problem is even more insidious because more manufacturers are not required to list the quantity of their trans fat in their products .
Both saturated fat and transfat raise the amount of LDL or bad cholesterol.
But trans fat also lowers the levels of HDL which is the good cholesterol .
The effect of trans fat and saturated fat on cholesterol is even worse than the eating cholesterol itself.
any food fried in the vegetable oil is the worst.
Processed food and fast food not only contain the trans fat or other additives, they also are high in acryl amides.
like, chips,french fries and sugar coated breakfast cereals .
Acryl amides also form in foods you bake until brown or fry at home ,they do not form in foods that are steamed or boiled .
Many of the foods children eat contain high levels of Acryl amides .
Acryl amides cause genetic mutations in lab animals and cause cancer .
Although not proven in human but most scientists working in that field presume that it does.
